Designed to train fire and police personnel who are First Responders how to render emergency care until paramedics arrive at the scene. Field trips may be required. Lecture/Laboratory.

FSCI 348 - Public Fire Education 1
2 Units

Designed to provide fire service personnel with a systematic method for planning and delivery of fire safety and prevention programs to the public. Includes development of flyers, press release, media public safety announcements and oral presentations. Part of the State Fire Training certification programs. Field trips may be required. Lecture. Materials fee required to pay for certificate and student manual for the State Fire Training certified course.

FSCI 398 - Fire Science Special Topics
1/2 Unit

These special topics consist of short courses on specific fire agency training needs. Emphasis is on updating recently available skills, information or technology that has a direct impact on specific agency training needs studied. Four maximum completions. Lecture/Laboratory depending on subject.
