Reference Help:

Library faculty will be available at the Reference/Information Desk from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday-Friday to help you with your research and information needs.

Course Reserves:

Some of your teachers have placed materials for their classes on Reserve in the West Campus Library. You can search for these materials by clicking on the Reserve Desk link in OPUS (the MJC Library Catalog). Search for materials in the Reserve Desk link by instructor name, course ID, or course name. Examples of the types of materials placed on reserve are: copies of your text books, back tests, practice test questions, required readings, and more. Intercampus Loan Service:

If you spend most of your time on West Campus but need library materials from either the MJC East Campus or Columbia College libraries, you can request that they be sent to you by simply clicking the Place Hold link from within the MJC Library Catalog record for the material you want. Click here for more detailed instructions on placing a hold.

Normally, materials requested between MJC East & West Campus libraries are delivered the next day, while those requested from Columbia College take an average of 3-4 business days. We will notify you via email when your materials are ready for you to pick up.

Reference and Reserve materials are not part of this service and must be used in their respective libraries.

Return Library Materials:

You may return any MJC library materials at the Circulation/Reserve Desks or outside bookdrops at either of our campus libraries.

Computers:

Our West Campus Library has a full-functioning open computer lab that is open during normal library hours. There is a computer lab technician available to help you with technical questions.
