Paid Student Internships available this summer in Washington, D.C. and nationwide  

The HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) is currently seeking motivated college students for paid internships. Nationwide opportunities are available within federal agencies and the corporate sector.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Typically the duration of the HNIP program consists of a ten- or fifteen-week internship.

PROGRAM DETAILS
*  Round-trip air fare to intern location included.
*  Housing arrangement assistance. 
*  Intern salaries are determined by academic level at 
   the time of application.  
   **Pay based on 40 hours per week: 
   Sophomore/Junior      $450
   Senior                       $480
   Graduate                   $550
*  Professional development, social, and cultural activities. 
*  Federal interns attend an orientation in 
   Washington,D.C. 
**Mininum pay rate for corporate internships. Pay may vary.  

ELIGIBILITY
*  Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
*  Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
*  Completion of freshman year in college before the internship begins
*  Seniors graduating in May are eligible to particpate in the summer program only
*  Authorized or eligible to work by law in the United States

KEY DATES
Summer 2008   Application Deadline - February 22  
                        Internship dates: May 30 - Aug. 9** 

Fall 2008           Application Deadline - June 14 
                         Internship dates:  Aug. 21-Dec. 6

**Students attending institutions operating on a quarter calendar participate in summer session dates June 15-August 25.
(Only students attending quarter session schools may participate on these later program dates.)
