This stopwatch
application runs using JAVA scripting, so you will need to update your FREE
JAVA software first to install and run the application. The stopwatch
program itself is very tiny, and will run on all computers and requires very
little memory.
Step 1:
Update your Java
software -- connect to the web, and click this link;

follow the directions on screen to install.
Step 2:
Save the Stopwatch.exe.remove to your computer
Click the download link supplied at the top and bottom of this document, and either choose Save (if you plan to copy the file to a floppy and share with others) or Open (if you just need to install it on this computer.)
Step 3:
If you Chose SAVE: Navigate to where you saved your file using explorer.
Double click the file stopwatch.exe ( if it is still named stopwatch.exe.remove, see step 2 )
IF YOU CHOSE SAVE OR OPEN:
For the Unpack to directory, choose c: it will install into C:\program files\stopwatch
A shortcut should appear on your start menu. If not, you can navigate to where you installed it, and drag out the stopwatch short cut there to your desktop.
Step 4:
Update the software -- for this final step, you must be on the internet again. Click the Stopwatch shortcut on your start menu, and the software will connect to the designers site for updates. Once done it will open in a small window. This updating only needs to be done once.
Configuring:
To configure the software right click anywhere on the clock and choose configure. You can change it to count up, down, alarm noises, color, and so on.
This is a shareware program, meaning the Denmark author is letting us use it for free, and according to him, he wants no money for it. It is not public domain though, so we don't "own" the software, we are just allowed to use it for free. Just so those of you who care now know. I do not support this software, only recommend it as I haven't seen anything better for the price.
