Veterinarian Technician Program
Internships

This program allows students to be paid as students employees of MJC, while gaining their experience at a local clinic. Students are selected and placed in a local clinic for a time period of one semester. After that time students are evaluated for performance by the clinic and faculty of the MJC program. If the evaluation of the student is favorable, the student may then stay at the clinic or request to gain more diverse experience by moving to another clinic.

Resumes and references are accepted twice a year and students are selected for this program based on class attendance, performance and genuine interest in the veterinary field.

Student interns are required to adhere to the dress and appearance codes of each clinic as well as the hours and times agreed upon.

Volunteer Opportunities

Several times a year the program accepts students interested in volunteering at local shelters.

This is a great opportunity, for students with no practical experience, to get a feel for the daily routine of a busy veterinary atmosphere.
The same process of application applies.
